July 2022

Dear Friends of the Tulare County Foundation for Ag Education and Youth,

The Tulare County Foundation for Ag Education and Youth would like to “Thank You” for being a part of our mission and team as we invest in the youth of Tulare County. We are thankful and proud of the difference we have made since the foundation began its efforts. Your support and donations have allowed us to help, encourage and invest in our 4-H and FFA kids that have a passion or interest in agriculture.

In 2020 we launched our Ag Grant Program. With both the 2020 and 2021 Ag Grants approximately $115,000 has been granted to approximately 240 kids. The applicants were required to fill out an application, attach a budget and provide a picture of themselves with their projects. If these guidelines were met and postmarked by a specific date they were eligible for this grant.   Due to the success of the Ag Grant Program we are hoping it can continue. We ask that you would consider being a part of this Grant Program with us in 2022. The foundation is committed to match any and all donations that will be made to the 2022 Ag Grant.

Along with our Grant Program we have been continually supporting and educating kids in Tulare County. We were able to give $5,000 to kids that sold animals at the Porterville Fair in May. We continue to be a part of the Ag display at the Imagine U Children’s Museum in Visalia. We have been financially supporting start up FFA programs at many local middle schools. Most recently, we have offered $22,500 in scholarships to seniors in high school that will complete the Jump Start Program at our local Junior Colleges, learning about Ag related trades.

Thank you again for your continued support of the Tulare County Foundation for Ag Education and Youth and the support of the kids of Tulare County. It takes the efforts of everyone involved to make a difference and we appreciate you! If you would like to donate to the 2022 Ag Grant please see the donation form here. The Ag Grant is scheduled to take place this fall for all 4-H and FFA kids.
